Being leased to a company even for a short period of time has its benefits, as this is usually treated as a probationary period. In the majority of cases, leased employees are offered a permanent position by the companies while they are still on lease to them, or soon afterwards.

- How should my cover letter be structured?
When it comes to the structure of your cover letter, you should bear in mind that our application managers deal with a large number of applications on a daily basis, so keep it short and to the point.
Ideally, your cover letter should be structured in such a way that it provides us with a brief overview of your current situation. It should be no longer than one DIN A4 page and tell us what motivated you to look for another job or career, the area in which you would like to work, your earliest possible start date, etc. There is also no need for you to make reference to a specific job vacancy, as we may also use your application for other positions – after discussing this with you first of course.
- What are the application documents that you need?
Your application documents are the ticket to your dream job. For this reason, they need to be complete and free of any mistakes.
In addition to your cover letter and CV, an application that will make the right impression should also include a cover page as well as any relevant references and certificates. Although a photo is not compulsory, it makes a nice finishing touch to your application.

- Will you let me know before my application is forwarded on to companies?
We will, of course, have a discussion with you about the job vacancies and companies, and will only ever forward your application documents on to them with your consent. In certain cases, we may not be able to tell you the name of the companies in advance for reasons of discretion. However, we will still discuss the vacancy with you and may be able to provide you with some basic information about the company.
- How long does it take for an applicant to find a job through a recruitment agency?
Over the years, we have made ongoing improvements to our internal processes where our response time is concerned. However, it is impossible to make a sweeping statement in this regard. Sometimes it takes just a few days, while in other cases it can take several weeks. To be specific, the exact period of time will depend on the job profile, the role and the requirements of the companies with which we collaborate.
- Can an applicant reject a potential company?
As the applicant, the decision to take on a new challenge is, of course, entirely up to you. Since long-lasting relationships are of paramount importance to us, you are of course welcome to reject potential companies if they do not fully meet the expectations you have of your future employer. It is also incredibly important to us that we place you with companies that are the perfect match for you.

In the case of private recruitment, you will have a permanent employment contract directly with one of our customers. You will negotiate all of the terms and conditions of your contract with your future employer and receive your employment contract from them too. In the case of personnel leasing, you will be employed by Schmieder GmbH and leased to our customers as a member of staff. These jobs are usually limited to a certain period of time and are often used by employers as an initial probationary period, following which you may be offered a permanent job.
- What is personnel leasing?
In the case of personnel leasing, you will be employed by us, Schmieder GmbH. During your placement with a company, you will be assigned a contact person from Schmieder GmbH who will provide you with support throughout. Temporary assignments give you the opportunity to show renowned companies from the local area what you can do, and if all goes well, you may subsequently be offered a job by our customer directly. The Equal Pay law means that your salary will be adjusted to that of an employee in a comparable position or to the standard industry rate.
- Are applicants charged a fee by a recruitment agency?
All of our services and advice are free of charge for you as an applicant, without any obligations. A fee only has to be paid by the company if we are successful.
- How do I submit an application to a recruitment agency?
